UP Free Tablet/ Smartphone Scheme

About two crore children in the state of Uttar Pradesh will receive free tablets or smartphones as part of a program already started by the government. Smartphones and tablets are given to young people in the state who are seeking graduation, have finished post-graduation, or have a diploma as part of the UP Free Laptop Yojana 2024. 5. The candidate’s exam scores from grades 10 and 12 should have averaged more than 65% overall.

1 Lakh Smartphones and Tablets Will Be Distributed

• To those who qualify, the Uttar Pradesh government has promised to distribute one lakh tablets and cell phones. As part of this program, 60,000 cellphones and 40,000 tablets will be distributed. Priority access to this free service will be given to students enrolled in final year BA, BSc, ITI, MBBS, MD, BTech, MTech, PhD, MSME, and skill development courses.
• The government issued the majority of the orders to businesses including Lava, Samsung, and Acer. An order of about ₹2,035 crores was issued in the first phase. The UP government ordered 7.20 lakh tablets for ₹12,606 and 10.50 lakh telephones for ₹10,740 each, according to figures.

Laptops Will Be Provided to 23 Lakh Students
